Major Roles and Responsibilities
As a Logistics Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and streamlining warehouse operations and logistics processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, and timely delivery. This role combines core logistics management tasks—encompassing sales order processing, inventory control, staff supervision, and compliance—with practical operational support. Key responsibilities include:
What You’ll Do:
1. Sales Order & Delivery Management
- Receive and process sales orders from the sales team; ensure the timely dispatch of products as per customer requirements.
- Coordinate delivery modes, bus, Pathao, or company delivery vehicles to meet customer needs.
- Track and record all product deliveries in the enterprise system promptly.
- Approval form Dedicated Person after Ledger Checking.
- Management of proper delivery system with the properly verification of delivery to the customer part.
- Keeping the delivery system on time basis for all branches of sagar group without any discrimination.
2. Goods Receipt & Inventory Control
- Oversee the receipt of goods from transport and courier services, validating the condition and quantity against purchase orders.
- Manage product dispatches, inventory system.
- Maintain accurate stock records in the system; organize and file all inventory documentation.
- Conduct inventory audits and assist with periodic stock counts, reporting any variances.
- Make recommendations on restocking items based on audit findings and stock movement.
3. Warehouse Operations
- Organize and maintain warehouse and inventory areas for efficient storage and handling of materials.
- Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and overall tidiness of the warehouse facilities at all times.
- Organize products systematically by section, room, or category to enable easy access and optimal space use.
- Unpack, shelve, and arrange inventory as required; assist with the loading and unloading of shipments.
- Monitor and report all breakages, spills, or damages promptly.
- Manage warehouse security and checking of its environment.
- Keeping the stock safety on the 1st priority on your list and making the warehouse assistant to do the same, during any receipts, delivery, transfer of goods during the stock keeping in the warehouse.
4. Compliance, Reporting & Record Keeping
- Complete and verify necessary paperwork for incoming and outgoing goods according to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain all procedural records in the company system and ensure compliance with internal and external operating standards.
- Report any incidents, losses, or non-conformances to management and recommend corrective actions.
5. Cost & Team Management
- Monitor and manage daily operational costs effectively to meet organizational targets.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the warehouse team, ensuring safety, quality of work, and teamwork.
- Provide training and guidance to logistics assistants/helpers, and ensure safe use of tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Support the Logistics Coordinator in the overall movement of supplies and assist other staff as required.
- Task management of the team as per needed and necessary changes and task on hand or pending tasks.
6. Communication & Coordination
- Maintain regular communication and coordination between sales, warehouse, and management teams.
- Ensure all stakeholders are kept informed on delivery schedules, stock status, and any issues impacting logistics.
Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in management).
- At least 2 years’ experience in warehouse or logistics operations (preferably in a tech-driven environment).
- Valid two-wheeler license.
- Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to lead, supervise, and motivate a team.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in inventory systems, record-keeping, and compliance procedures.
Should-Have / Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with enterprise or tech-based warehouse/inventory systems.
- Understanding of cost control and operational budget management.
- High adaptability to dynamic work environments and multitasking demands.
- Strong team-building and mentoring capabilities.
- Experience supporting audits, compliance, and detailed reporting processes.
- Demonstrated approach to innovation and continuous improvement in logistics practices.
