Job Description
We’re hiring a QA Automation Engineer on behalf of our US-based clients in the healthcare domain. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented QA professional who enjoys working with complex datasets, validating data pipelines, and building robust automation for high-impact healthcare products.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Design
- Review data-related system requirements, ETL workflows, and integration specs
- Design structured, reusable automated and manual test cases focused on data accuracy, transformation logic, and application functionality
- Assist in defining test strategies for data validation, regression testing, and API-level checks
Test Execution
- Execute automated tests for healthcare web apps, APIs, and data pipelines
- Build and maintain automation scripts using Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools
- Validate data integrity across systems (source to target comparisons, transformation rules, etc.)
- Run regression and sanity tests post-deployment
Bug Reporting & Tracking
- Log, track, and manage issues in Jira with clear, data-focused defect reports
- Re-test resolved bugs, especially those related to data inconsistency or accuracy
- Collaborate closely with developers, data engineers, and analysts to resolve issues
Collaboration
- Work with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, QA leads, and product managers
- Share test results, dashboards, and insights with the team to drive improvements
- Participate in sprint planning and daily standups in Agile environments
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform API testing (using Postman or similar tools) to validate data access and integration
- Write SQL queries to support data testing, validation, and exploratory QA
- Test healthcare datasets, claims data, and EHR/EMR systems with compliance in mind (HIPAA, etc.)
- Over time, contribute to performance testing and data quality monitoring efforts
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 2–4 years of QA experience, with a focus on automation and data validation
- Experience in healthcare domain (US-based) is a strong plus
- Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server.
- Practical knowledge of Cypress, Selenium, Postman, and Jira
- Solid SQL skills (joins, aggregations, data comparisons)
- Familiarity with ETL processes, data pipelines, and healthcare data formats
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Exposure to Agile/SCRUM workflows
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with global teams
