This is a full-time on-site role for a Big Data Engineer located in Kathmandu. The Big Data Engineer will be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing big data solutions. Day-to-day tasks include designing and implementing data pipelines, maintaining data architectures, ensuring high performance, and integrating new data management technologies. Collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and the IT team to understand data requirements and deliver highly scalable data systems is essential.
- Proficiency in Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka
- Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience working in a data analytics or related industry is a plus
