Job DescriptionJob Summary:
The Reservation Manager / Ticketing Officer is responsible for handling all aspects of airline ticket reservations and sales. This includes communicating with clients, booking and issuing tickets, managing group PNRs, coordinating with airlines, and ensuring excellent customer service. The role involves supervising junior ticketing staff (if Manager Level), and maintaining accurate records of bookings, margins, and pending inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle domestic and international flight reservations and ticket issuance.
- Coordinate with clients (corporate and individual) to confirm booking details and preferences.
- Use GDS systems (Galileo, Sabre, Amadeus) to search, book, and issue tickets.
- Manage group bookings and seat allocations.
- Maintain accurate records of ticket sales, purchase costs, and profit margins.
- Follow up on pending fare quotes and convert them into bookings.
- Ensure all airline rules, fare conditions, and refund policies are properly followed.
- Assist in fare calculations, re-issuances, cancellations, and refunds.
- Support marketing efforts by reaching out to old or potential clients.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Supervise and guide ticketing staff (if Manager Level).
Job Specification
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in ticketing/reservations (Manager level: 5+ years preferred).
- Knowledge of GDS systems like Sabre, Amadeus, or Galileo.
- Experience with corporate ticketing and group PNRs is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent knowledge of airline fare structures, rules, and refund policies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and email tools.
- Customer-oriented with a problem-solving attitude.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and handle time-sensitive requests.
- Leadership and team management (for Manager level).
Other Requirements:
- Flexible to work in shifts or weekends as needed.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Sound understanding of the travel industry and market trends.
