About the Role


Global IT Career is seeking an experienced Product Owner to join one of our prestigious US-based healthcare clients in Kathmandu. This role requires a strategic thinker who can align product vision with business goals and translate it into actionable development plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare technology, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to deliver high-impact digital products in an Agile environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Define and communicate the product vision, roadmap, and priorities aligned with business objectives.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is well-groomed, prioritized, and visible to all stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into clearly defined user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, QA, and UX/UI designers.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and ensure the final product meets business needs and user expectations.
  • Conduct backlog refinement sessions, sprint planning, and participate actively in Agile ceremonies.
  • Make informed decisions on product features and releases by balancing business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Monitor product performance, collect feedback, and iterate on solutions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met (e.g., HIPAA, HL7, EDI standards).
  • Engage with key stakeholders, clients, and end-users to gather insights and validate product direction.


Qualifications & Skills


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, with at least 3+ years in healthcare-related projects.
  • Deep understanding of the US healthcare ecosystem (EMR/EHR, Claims, Insurance, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working with Agile teams.
  • Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Trello, or similar product management software.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
