Job Description – Service Staff (Waiter x2) & Cashier (x1)

The Society Fine Dining Redefined is seeking dedicated, reliable, and service-driven individuals to join our front-of-house team. We are seeking two Waiters and one cashier to play vital roles in creating an elegant and memorable dining experience that reflects our brand’s values of elegance, quality, and innovation.

Service Staff (Waiter – 2 positions)


Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and provide an exceptional first impression.
  • Present menus, explain daily specials, and make recommendations.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system.
  • Deliver orders promptly, ensuring proper service etiquette.
  • Attend to guests’ needs throughout their dining experience with professionalism and care.
  • Assist in table setups, clearings, and maintaining a clean, organised dining area.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams for seamless service flow.
  • Support events, promotions, and special dining experiences.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a waiter in fine dining or hospitality preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality service.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Positive attitude and team player mindset.
Cashier (1 position)


Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests and process payments accurately via cash, card, or digital methods.
  • Operate the POS system efficiently, including billing, split payments, discounts, and vouchers.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and resolve minor billing discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organised cashier station at all times.
  • Balance the cash register and reconcile sales at the end of shifts.
  • Assist with reservations, takeaway orders, and phone inquiries.
  • Coordinate with waitstaff and supervisors to ensure smooth billing and table turnovers.
  • Support stock handling and front desk responsibilities during non-peak hours.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar customer-facing role preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic accounting procedures.
  • Excellent numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to stay calm and courteous under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage menus is a plus.
