Role overview


We are looking to hire for the position of Assistant Accountant.


This role will focus on supporting the group accounting team in performing various financial tasks across 14 different business units in OMG. You will be closely working with the team’s financial accountant & financial controller to ensure company policies are followed consistently across all the different business units.


Job Duties and Responsibilities


  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assistance in regional/global reporting
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and monthly control tasks
  • Preparation of monthly/ad hoc global reporting requirements (including Ariba)
  • Assistance with audit and statutory reporting
  • Assistance with supplier verification and payment checks
  • Assistance with month-end revenue recognition, accruals, and deferrals
  • Assistance with revenue forecast
  • Assistance with revenue analysis and reporting
  • Assistance with revenue process optimization
  • Ad hoc tasks and reconciliations as required by management


Qualification, Skills and Competencies


  • Degree major in Accounting and/or Finance
  • 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Professional Accounting designation (e.g., ACCA) is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and procedures
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • SQL and Power Query experience is a plus
