Front desk Executive (Night shift)

  • Job Objective

To provide outstanding guest service during night hours by managing check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest inquiries with professionalism and accuracy while ensuring the security and smooth operation of the hotel front desk during the night shift.

  • Roles and responsibilities
  • Greet, check-in, and check-out guests efficiently, ensuring all procedures comply with hotel policies.
  • Manage reservations, cancellations, and room assignments using the hotel management software (PMS).
  • Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints during the night shift.
  • Handle night audit processes, including balancing accounts, billing, and preparing reports for management.
  • Monitor the hotel premises for security and safety during the night; coordinate with security and maintenance teams as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth guest services.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions, guest details, and night shift activities.
  • Provide emergency assistance and follow hotel protocols for guest safety and security.
  • Uphold the highest standards of guest confidentiality and data protection.
  • Assist in training junior staff or new recruits as required.
  • Required qualification
  • Minimum High School Diploma; diploma or certificate in Hospitality or Front Office Management is preferred.
  • Proven experience (1–3 years) in a front desk or guest service role, preferably in hotels or resorts.
  • Familiarity with Property Management Systems (PMS) such as Opera, MSI, or similar software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; knowledge of Nepali and other languages is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and calmness under pressure, especially during night shifts.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night hours.
