Network & Security Administrator

Position Summary:

Responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and securing the company’s Wi-Fi networks, managing firewalls, and ensuring smooth, secure connectivity for all users. This role involves troubleshooting network issues, implementing security policies, and safeguarding company data against cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Network Maintenance & Monitoring
  • Configure, manage, and maintain office Wi-Fi networks, switches, and routers.
  • Monitor network performance, bandwidth usage, and uptime.
  • Ensure seamless connectivity across all departments.
  1. Firewall Management
  • Install, configure, and manage firewall systems.
  • Set up security rules and policies to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Perform regular firewall log reviews and audits.
  1. Security & Data Protection
  • Implement network security protocols (VPN, access control, encryption).
  • Monitor for network intrusions or suspicious activity.
  • Coordinate regular security patches and updates.
  1. Troubleshooting & Support
  • Provide technical support for network-related issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve connectivity problems quickly.
  • Maintain network documentation and topology diagrams.
  1. Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure adherence to IT security compliance standards.
  • Prepare monthly reports on network health and security incidents.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in network administration or IT security.
  • Strong knowledge of firewall systems (e.g., FortiGate, Sophos, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto).
  • Experience with Wi-Fi network configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP.
  • Certifications (Preferred): CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE.
