Job Description

Are you passionate about clean, accurate, and engaging Nepali writing ? TechPana.com, a leading digital media platform focused on IT, technology, startups, and innovation in Nepal, is looking for an experienced Copy Editor or Desk Editor to join our Nepali editorial team.

Responsibilities

Edit and proofread Nepali news and articles for grammar, clarity, tone, and accuracy
Maintain consistency in language, style, and formatting across all content
Collaborate with writers and reporters to improve the quality and depth of stories
Write or refine headlines, intros, and summaries that engage Nepali speaking audiences
Ensure factual accuracy and perform basic fact checking
Manage publishing deadlines and assist in coordinating daily content flow
Work closely with the editorial lead to uphold voice and standards of TechPana

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in editing or journalism, preferably in a newsroom setting
Strong command of written Nepali, with excellent grammar and editing skills
Experience working with digital publishing tools (e.g., WordPress or similar CMS)
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple stories at once
A keen eye for detail, with a commitment to quality and factual accuracy
Understanding of tech related topics is a plus
Proven experience in English to Nepali translation, especially for news or tech content
