Job Title: Draughtsperson – Structural, Architectural & Furniture Detail Drawings

Location: uttardhoka

Employment Type: Contract

Reporting To: Senior Architect / Structural Engineer


Job Summary:


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsperson with strong proficiency in preparing structural drawings, architectural working drawings, and furniture detail drawings. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of building design standards, materials, and construction techniques, and must be capable of translating conceptual designs into accurate and executable technical drawings.



Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed structural drawings including foundation plans, column and beam layouts, reinforcement details, and sectional drawings based on engineer’s inputs.

• Develop architectural working drawings including plans, elevations, sections, and other technical drawings required for construction.

• Prepare furniture layout plans, fabrication details, and 2D/3D joinery drawings.

• Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, and interior designers to ensure design coherence and compliance.

• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from project team or site changes.

• Maintain organized documentation and ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NBC, IS codes, local municipal guidelines).

• Coordinate with site teams to clarify design intent and resolve drawing-related issues.

• Assist in quantity take-offs or material schedules when required.



Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.

• Proven experience (10+ years preferred) as a draughtsperson in architecture, structural engineering, or interior design firm.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory. Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, 3D modeling, or other CAD tools is a plus.

• Understanding of construction methodology, structural systems, and joinery/furniture detailing.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.

• Good organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.



Preferred Attributes:

• Familiarity with Nepali building codes, standards, and local authority approval processes.

• Experience in site coordination or supervision is an added advantage.

• Knowledge of BIM workflows is a bonus.
