The Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, planning, and
implementing solar rooftop and ground-mounted systems. The position involves technical
evaluations, site visits, project management, and coordination with various stakeholders to
deliver cost-effective and efficient solar energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Analysis:
- Calculate rooftop solar capacity for commercial and industrial clients via site visits or specialized software.
- Analyze solar layouts to estimate annual energy yields using advanced tools.
- Design solar structures and layouts (rooftop and ground-mounted) using AutoCAD and SAP software.
- Prepare 2D/3D framing drawings and detailed construction schematics, including single-line diagrams.
Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop detailed project timelines and construction schedules using MS Project or equivalent tools.
- Estimate costs for solar mounting structures and propose cost-effective solutions.
- Oversee the installation of commercial solar energy systems and manage contractors, vendors, and customers.
Feasibility Studies & Reporting:
- Conduct feasibility studies for solar harvesting areas, ensuring optimized installation processes.
- Prepare comprehensive desk studies, feasibility reports, and construction documentation in coordination with the manager.
Sales & Financial Modeling:
- Assist in preparing proposals, financial models, and power purchase agreements (PPA).
- Collaborate with commercial banks to facilitate solar loans for customers.
- Participate in market development initiatives and customer presentations to drive solar rooftop projects.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Attend seminars and meetings with organizations such as AEPC to stay updated on policies and subsidies.
- Conduct site visits and verify systems, including solar water pumping, with cost estimation and BOQ preparation.
Research & Optimization:
- Research solar framing designs to improve strength, cost-efficiency, and installation time.
- Utilize online tools and software for enhanced system design and presentation.
Requirements:
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- At least 4-5 years of experience in solar or related fields is preferred; however, exceptional candidates with fewer years of experience will also be considered
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SAP, and project management software.
- Familiarity with solar design and simulation software.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with diverse teams.
Other Skills:
- Must possess a valid two-wheeler license and a personal vehicle.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department head to ensure the success of solar energy projects.
*Note: This is a full-time position. Candidates are required to own a 2 wheeler with a valid license.*
