Part-Time Lecturer Opportunities – MSc IT Subjects (Islington College)
Islington College, based in Kathmandu, Nepal, is a premium institution offering UK University Education since 1996. The college focuses on providing high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in IT and Business in partnership with London Metropolitan University, UK.
We are looking for experienced educators and industry experts to join our MSc IT course as part-time lecturers. We kindly invite you to apply if you have expertise in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security Domain. The Lecturers will be responsible for delivering lectures, practical workshops and providing guidance to students.
1. Lecturers for Computer Vision:
Requirement: 2 Positions
- Deliver key topics like image pre-processing, object detection, and vision-based deep learning.
- Guide students in using tools like OpenCV, TensorFlow, and Keras for vision projects.
2. Lecturers for Neural Networks and Deep Learning:
Requirement: 2 Positions
- Teach architectures like CNN, RNN, LSTM, Transformer models and NLP architectures.
- Hands-on experience in PyTorch or TensorFlow required.
3. Lecturers for Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence:
Requirement: 2 Positions
- Cover AI-enabled threat detection, anomaly detection, and security automation.
- Knowledge of IoT security, predictive modeling, and frameworks like NIST, OWASP is essential.
- Candidates should be capable of guiding research-driven projects.
4. Lecturers for Advanced Ethical Hacking and Security Compliance:
Requirement: 2 Positions
- Conduct labs in penetration testing, post-exploitation, and security toolkits like Metasploit, Burp Suite.
- Practical exposure to compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIST-CSF, GDPR) is required.
- Preference given to CEH-certified or industry-experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities as a Lecturer:
- Deliver lectures and facilitate interactive workshop sessions on respective subjects
- Develop module content, case studies, and real-world project scenarios aligned with MSc-level learning outcomes
- Assess students through assignments, presentations, and examinations with constructive feedback
- Supervise coursework and mentor students pursuing respective pathways
- Collaborate with course leader to maintain curriculum quality and relevance
What we are looking for in candidates:
- Master’s (Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security or related areas) or PhD in a relevant field
- Industry experience in relevant domains is highly preferred
- Prior teaching experience at the master’s level (postgraduate) is an advantage
- Strong communication and engagement skills to facilitate interactive learning
