We are seeking a skilled and motivated Database Administrator & BI Reporting Specialist with hands-on experience in database management and SQL Queries. This hybrid role involves maintaining and optimizing database systems while also designing, developing, and delivering insightful business intelligence reports through SpagoBI or similar open-source BI tools.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SQL and relational databases, coupled with experience in data visualization, dashboard development, and working with business stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities: Database Administration

• Install, configure, and maintain relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Monitor and optimize database performance and resource usage.
• Manage database backups, restores, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Implement database security, user roles, and access controls.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems.

BI & Report Development

• Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Work with internal stakeholders to gather report requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Perform data validation and ensure accuracy of reports.

Data Support & Analysis

• Support end-users in understanding and using BI reports.
• Conduct ad-hoc data analysis and generate insights for business decisions.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to align database structures with business intelligence needs.

Job Requirements: 

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience:

•  1+ years in database administration.
•  1+ years of hands-on experience with SpagoBI or similar BI/reporting tools (e.g., Pentaho, JasperReports, Power BI).
•  Experience in SQL development and creating optimized queries. Technical Skills:
•  Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with at least one major RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL).
•  Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and performance tuning.
•  Experience with SpagoBI suite: report designer, KPI engine, dashboarding, scheduler, etc.
•  Familiarity with scripting (e.g., Bash, Python) is a plus.
•  Experience with data warehousing or OLAP concepts is preferred.

• Knowledge of REST APIs or data integration tools.
