About The Role

We're seeking an experienced Credit Analyst Team Lead to drive our growing mortgage credit team. You'll lead a high-performing team to deliver seamless mortgage processing for Australian expats. Your expertise will guide the assessment of complex credit scenarios with accuracy and compliance. This role offers the opportunity to lead with impact in a fast-paced, collaborative global environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of credit analysts and loan processors handling Australian mortgage applications.
  • Develop and enforce high-quality credit assessment standards
  • Train, coach, and performance-manage team members on both technical competencies and soft skills.
  • Ensure compliance with Australianlending policies, regulations, and risk management protocols
  • Monitor workflows and proactively resolve bottlenecks and optimize loan processing timelines.
  • Drive adoption of process automation or system improvements in collaboration with remote management
  • Resolve complex loan escalations, liaising effectively with brokers, BDMs, and lenders as needed.
  • Report on team KPIs and continuously identify areas for improvement
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across credit operations.
  • Foster a positive team culture aligned with Odin's values: ownership, wow experience, continuous improvement

Requirements

Required Experience:

  • 2 years of experience in credit assessment, loan processing, or a similar role
  • Led a high-performing operations or credit team (loan processing or similar)
  • Experience working with international or remote management teams
  • Managed workflows for financial product applications or similar operational teams
  • Familiar with KPIs, performance tracking, and SLA management

Favorable experience:

  • Prior experience with Australian mortgage products or expat lending requirements
  • Background in financial services (e.g., banking, broking, fintech)
  • Hands-on experience with CRM, LOS, or workflow automation tools
  • Involvement in developing SOPs or training modules for operations teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • Additional certifications in leadership, credit analysis, or mortgage broking are a plus
  • Strong fluency in written and spoken English
  • Demonstrated ability to learn regulatory and technical domains quickly
