Are you a detail-oriented and motivated professional looking for a rewarding role in international education? We're seeking an Admissions Officer to join our team in Kathmandu, Nepal on a 1-year fixed-term contract.
This crucial role supports the processing of international student applications and enrolments for university colleges and partnerships across Navitas Australia. You'll play a key part in student recruitment, ensuring application quality, and maintaining compliance with visa regulations and internal policies.
About the Role
As an Admissions Officer, you'll manage CRM records, verify student documents, generate offers, and coordinate end-to-end enrolment processes. Working closely with our international recruitment teams, students, and education agents, your efforts will directly contribute to meeting enrolment targets while minimizing visa rejection rates. This position is based in our Navitas Kathmandu office.
Key Responsibilities
- Student Data Management: Maintain and update student records accurately in CRM and Student Information Systems (Study Link and Banner).
- Application Processing: Efficiently process applications through Study Link within defined turnaround times (TAT), ensuring timely offers and accurate reporting.
- Document Collection & Verification: Collect and organize student documents to facilitate smooth and compliant enrolment processes.
- Full Enrolment Processing: Handle the complete enrolment process, including the issuance of Confirmation of Enrolments (CoEs) via PRISMS.
- Application Assessment: Thoroughly assess international student applications, including academic qualifications, GTE/GS criteria, and visa compliance requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate professionally and promptly with students, education agents, and key internal stakeholders via email.
- Expert Guidance: Provide expert guidance on academic entry requirements and international qualifications using frameworks such as NOOSR and UK ECCTIS.
- Administrative Support: Perform general administrative duties as needed to support the admissions and recruitment teams.
Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in admissions, ideally within the higher education or international education sector.
- System Proficiency: Strong knowledge of PRISMS and the international student admissions process; experience using CRM platforms (Study Link preferred) and managing student data systems.
- Regulatory Understanding: Solid understanding of Australian student visa regulations, including GTE and Genuine Student (GS)
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in data entry and document verification.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, agents, and internal stakeholders across various markets.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for assessing complex admissions scenarios.
- Work Ethic: Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
