Role Overview:

The Business Development & Expansion Associate will support Karobar’s international growth efforts by assisting in exploring new markets, coordinating local research, and helping adapt Karobar’s offerings to suit regional needs. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, globally curious, and passionate about building tech solutions for MSMEs around the world. The associate will help lay the groundwork for Karobar’s entry in emerging nations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and gather insights on MSME ecosystems, digital adoption trends, financial tools usage, and regulatory environments in target markets.
  • Assist in analyzing competitive landscapes across international bookkeeping and business management apps.
  • Support the design and execution of pilot programs and beta testing by coordinating logistics, outreach, and local feedback loops.
  • Coordinate with local translators, and partners to ensure smooth market research execution.
  • Help maintain databases and documentation related to each market’s entry progress, including timelines, partners, regulatory steps, and learnings.
  • Contribute to the localization of marketing content, onboarding flows, and feature descriptions with support from product and marketing teams.
  • Schedule and coordinate cross-timezone meetings, workshops, or calls with regional stakeholders and partners.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Development Studies, International Relations, Economics, or related fields.
  • 1–3 years of experience in research, project coordination, market analysis, or international programs (experience in tech, SaaS, or MSME space is a plus).
  • Strong analytical and desk research skills with the ability to synthesize information into actionable insights.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, Google Slides, and project management tools.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple markets and tasks simultaneously.
