Job Description

Job Purpose


To contribute on the profitability of company by increasing the volume of category sale, by improving the speed of inventory turnover in the category and by satisfying the consumer and shopper needs.


Responsibility


To pro-actively contribute in the implementation of category strategy with the Operations.

To implement the merchandising plan at the stores.

To work closely with the finance regarding the vendor payments, extra margins, vendor reconciliations, vendor closure.

To work with the SCM team by providing the in advance buying plans, ensuring stocks are available at the stores based on the master file and category plans.

Weekly fill rates share and discuss with the vendor for the fill rate improvement.

Check and correct Vendor wise, category wise and Brand wise margin negotiation vs actual.

Schedule vendor wise order cycle and track orders.

Weekly update on the out of Stock (OOS) report.

Vendor Master/Item Master creation and update. Minimum Base Quantity (MBQ) update, correct and delist.

Check stock hold days (SHD) and suggest SCM for stock rebalance and category manager for MBQ correction on every 15days.

Monthly goods return details mail to vendor.

Share the information about the category plan to SCM and Operations like new master update, sku listing and delisting.

Settle monthly promotional claim with vendor and finance.

To check the product pricing as per the margin negotiated with vendor.

To check the market price, promotion, new SKUs and other information. Discuss in the team and vendor to find out the solution.

Complete the Purchase invoice.

Evaluate and update on Market visit, competitor’s price promotion and strategy.
