About the job
We are looking for a Statutory Accountant who will take ownership of local audit and accounts preparation and local tax filings for all relevant companies under the Group. The role will also assist with the group audit.
Key Responsibilities
Statutory reporting
- Preparation of standalone statutory accounts for entities across the group
- Ensures compliance with local GAAP and filing requirements
- Liaison with local finance teams and auditors
- Reconciliation of statutory vs management accounts
Group reporting
- Supporting group audit
- Preparation of Intercompany reconciliations
- Supporting monthly close process
International tax
- Preparation of local tax returns with support from local advisors
- Maintaining internal reports to ensure tax deadlines are met
Projects
- Involvement in ad hoc projects in group finance
Other Skills
- Experience of liaising with external auditors
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Prior experience in leading ERPs like SAP, NetSuite, Accumatica etc or prior experience in consolidation/Group Control software will be an added advantage.
- Ability to liaise and co-ordinate deliverables with different finance teams across the world.
KSAB required
- Qualified CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA with previous audit management and tax experience. Multi-currency consolidation experience will be a bonus.
- At least 2 years of post-qualification experience. Prior working in a MNC or Big 4 audit firms will be an added advantage.
- Computer literacy including experience of accounting software packages.
- Good knowledge of accounting procedures and principles.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
- Proficient with email and spreadsheets.
- Good communication skills and the ability to translate financial information into easily understandable narrative.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
