Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for a Software Engineer. The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining back-end web services, programming, and software development. The role involves collaborating with team members to design and implement new features and ensure high-performance and responsiveness of applications.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Computer Science principles
- Expertise in Back-End Web Development and Software Development
- Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
- Experience in developing mobile-friendly applications is a plus
As a Software Engineer at Laayo, you’ll play a key role in building and maintaining our full-stack delivery platform. This position focuses primarily on backend development, but there’s room to contribute across the stack.
Responsibilities:
- Build scalable APIs using Node.js and MongoDB
- Integrate Firebase Authentication (Google, Email, Phone OTP)
- Develop and optimize features like cart, orders, checkout, and vendor management
- Ensure reliable performance, security, and real-time responsiveness
- Work closely with the team to test and deliver features in weekly sprints
