Job Description

Naxa is looking for highly motivated and experienced DevOps to join our team. We want someone who delivers results without needing to be micromanaged and helps in managing the development, testing, and support processes in a software development project life cycle. The individual will be responsible for facilitating and combining technical expertise with project management and communication skills and help in empowering Nepali youth led companies like Naxa that are leveraging digital technologies for social good targeting everyday problems around us. Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Bitbucket Pipelines, or CircleCI.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Maintain version control repositories (GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket), including branch management, tagging, and release planning.
  • Collaborate closely with Python developers (FastAPI, Django, Flask) to streamline development and deployment workflows.
  • Improve and maintain existing cloud infrastructure with a focus on performance, reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.
  • Architect and implement scalable, high-availability, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS or GCP.
  • Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and the ELK stack.
  • Perform root cause analysis of production issues and develop proactive solutions to mitigate risk.
  • Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scanning, and ensure adherence to cloud security best practices.
  • Document infrastructure, system configurations, workflows, and procedures clearly for knowledge sharing and compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with developers, QA teams, and project managers to ensure smooth and timely delivery.


Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a DevOps role, with a strong focus on AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Skilled in using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Strong understanding of Linux system administration, including process management, networking, and services.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Solid grasp of Microservices and Serverless architectures.
  • Familiar with benchmarking and stress testing tools to ensure system performance.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines, AWS CodePipeline)
  • Strong understanding of networking and cloud security best practices.
  • Experience setting up and managing observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Nepali
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects under time constraints.
  • Can work well within team dynamics.
