Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Database Administrator (MySQL) to drive the migration of database systems from Windows Server 2016 to a secure and optimized Linux-based environment. The candidate should have deep expertise in MySQL administration, data migration, and backup/recovery strategies.

Responsibilities:
• Design and implement MySQL migration strategy from Windows to Linux with minimal downtime.
• Ensure data integrity and availability during and post-migration.
• Set up automated backups and disaster recovery plans (e.g., using AWS S3).
• Validate and test data migration using scripts and tools.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement encryption and IAM controls.
• Support application and infrastructure teams on database-related configurations.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in MySQL administration.
• Proficient with backup/restore tools, disaster recovery planning, and database tuning.
• Experience with cloud-based storage and database solutions (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with Veeam or similar backup software is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
