Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Account Officer at EMIZEN in Kathmandu. The Account Officer will be responsible for financial statements analysis, managing customer accounts, providing financial insights, ensuring excellent customer service, and effective communication with clients and internal teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Book keeping: Keeping accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries, ledgers, and financial statements of Emizen group of companies.
2. Accounts Receivable: Managing and monitoring customer invoices, ensuring timely payments, and following up on outstanding accounts Emizen group of companies.
3. Accounts Payable: Handling vendor invoices, verifying the accuracy of bills, and coordinating timely payments of Emizen group of companies.
4. Budgeting: Assisting in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, tracking expenses, and analyzing budget deviations of Emizen group of companies.
5. Financial Reporting: Preparing periodic financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements of Emizen group of companies.
6. Bank Reconciliation: Ensuring that the organization's bank accounts match the recorded transactions in the financial statements of Emizen group of companies.
7. Auditing: Coordinating with auditors during internal or external financial audits to provide necessary documentation and answer queries.
8. Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
9. Tax and VAT Compliance: Ensuring that the organization complies with tax laws and regulations, and assisting with the preparation of tax returns of Emizen group of companies.
10. Compliance: Keeping up-to-date with financial regulations and ensuring that the organization adheres to them.
11. Petty Cash Management: Managing the organization's petty cash fund and reconciling petty cash transactions.
12. Payroll: Processing employee payroll and ensuring those taxes and other deductions are accurately withheld.
13. Vendor and Client Relations: Building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors and clients, addressing any financial queries or concerns they may have.
14. Financial Software and Systems: Utilizing accounting software to maintain financial records and generating reports.
15. Internal Controls: Implementing and enforcing internal financial controls to safeguard against fraud and errors.
