Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Event Manager located in Kathmandu. The Senior Event Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing corporate and social events. They will oversee the entire event management process, including budgeting, vendor management, logistics, and on-site coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of weddings and events, overseeing all aspects of the process from concept to completion.
- Develop creative concepts and themes for events that align with client objectives and preferences.
- Manage client relationships, serving as the main point of contact and ensuring clear communication and expectations are met.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers, ensuring the best value and service for clients.
- Develop and manage event budgets, tracking expenses and profitability.
- Supervise event staff and coordinate logistics, including venue setup, catering, entertainment, and transportation.
- Anticipate and mitigate potential risks and challenges during events, ensuring smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Evaluate the success of events and provide recommendations for improvement and future planning.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in event management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in event management, with a track record of executing successful weddings and events.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with a focus on building and maintaining client relationships.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences and outcomes.
- Proficiency in event management software/tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and client needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or a related field is a plus.
