Job Description

Role: Senior System Engineer

Location: Lalitpur

Work Type: On-Site

Reports to: Engineering Manager

As a Senior System Engineer, you will take a leading role in the design, development, and enhancement of our Linux-based products. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our systems while mentoring and guiding junior team members. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Linux internals, networking, scripting, and automation, with a proven track record of managing large-scale systems successfully.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of Linux-based products.
• Perform performance optimization for various products.
• Design, develop, and maintain scripts for system automation and configuration management and improve state-of-the-art software build and deployment processes.
• Configure and manage advanced networking and security measures.
• Implement and enforce best practices for system development and security.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend product improvements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in System Engineering, focusing on Unix-based operating systems.
• Extensive experience in Linux internals and large-scale system development.
• High proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
• Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols.
• Expertise in VPN solutions, network security, and advanced security measures.
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Good knowledge of virtualization, container technology, and public cloud services.
• Proven track record of troubleshooting complex system issues and optimizing performance.

10. CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
