Brief job description and logistics
The position is located at Bodgaun Primary Hospital, situated in Ward 11, Indrawati Rural Municipality, Sindhupalchok District, Bagmati Province, Nepal. The hospital is jointly managed by Indrawati Local Municipality, Government of Nepal, and an Italo-Nepalese NGO called Jay Nepal, which constructed it in 2018 and partially transferred its ownership to the Local Government from June 06th , 2023.
We seek individuals passionate about coordinating healthcare services with a focus on volunteerism and compassionate care. The position offers opportunities for continuous training and exchange experiences with international medical and paramedical professionals, provided by Jay Nepal & official collaboration with Italian University hospitals and organizations.
Working arrangements
- OPD working hours per day (09.00 – 17.00), overseeing the outpatient department
- In charge of the 24/7 Emergency service as per need
- 25 working days per month and
- Other leaves guaranteed, as per rules by the Management Committee
Salary and Benefits
Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and abilities.
The starting gross salary will be NPR. 70000 NPR per month (including taxes, social security fund, base salary and allowances). Living arrangements will be provided by Bodgaun Primary Hospital. Food, Travel and all others have to be beared by self.
Job responsibilities
Clinical:
- Performing patient consultations and diagnosis based on symptoms and instrumental examinations
- Handling emergency cases, including after-hours when required
- Prescribing necessary tests and drugs
- Establishing follow-up plans, with a focus on the chronic disease programme promoted by the Technical
- Committee of Bodgaun Primary Hospital (see reporting line*)
- Authorising referrals and counseling plans
- Running prevention campaigns
- Planning health outreach activities
- Reporting all activities to both Technical and Management Committees of Bodgaun Primary Hospital (see reporting line*)
Managerial:
You will work as Hospital In-charge and oversee all general management aspects of the Medical Centre. This includes supervision and regular evaluation of laboratory and Medical pharmacy, duties/responsibilities for medical and paramedical staffs (H.A., Pharmacist, Lab Technician, Nurse, A.N.M., A.H.W.) and non-medical staffs (Cashier, Guards, cleaners). By default you will be a signatory of cheques, be part of different committees and need to manage all programs endorsed by the NGO.
Reporting Line
You will perform your duties under a member of technical committee and director of Jay Nepal NGO.
