MG Consultants (Pvt) Ltd, Roughton International (UK), and Yuksel Proje (Turkey), in joint venture, invite applications from highly experienced professionals for the position of Team Leader / Chief Resident Engineer on the SASEC Highway Enhancement Project in Nepal.

This is a replacement position for an ongoing, high-profile infrastructure project financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The assignment involves the rehabilitation and upgrading of approximately 95 km of highway between Kakarbhitta and Laukahi, comprising three road packages and two bridge packages.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role as a Team Leader, located in Damak, Nepal. The Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing project teams, managing project timelines and deliverables, and ensuring the quality of work meets the firm's standards. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with clients and stakeholders, providing direction and support to team members, conducting project reviews, and ensuring the successful execution of projects from start to finish. Provide extensive supervision of highway construction activities, ensuring all works meet design specifications and international quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:

• Master’s degree in Transportation Engineering, Highway Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 20 years of professional experience in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 15 years in road and/or bridge projects, with extensive highway supervision experience
• Minimum 10 years as a Team Leader or Chief Resident Engineer on major infrastructure projects
• Successful completion of at least 2 International Competitive Bidding (ICB) highway projects exceeding 2 years’ duration, each with a project size ≥ $100 million
• Successful completion of at least 3 projects exceeding 2 years’ duration with FIDIC Red Book or Pink Bookexperience
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Asia & Pacific (excluding home country)
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Europe (excluding home country)
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the Americas (excluding home country)

Competencies

• Extensive knowledge of international best practices in project management, FIDIC contracts, and ADB-funded projects
• Proven leadership and team management skills in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural environments
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
