Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Admission Manager to lead our admissions counselling and sales team in Nepal. The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with experience in managing direct-to-consumer consultative sales teams, achieving aggressive revenue targets, and operating in a competitive, high-performance environment.
You will be responsible for managing a team of 10–15 Admissions Counsellors and 1–2 Team Leaders, driving enrolments, and ensuring consistent achievement of monthly and quarterly targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage the admissions sales team, ensuring performance excellence and target achievement.
- Drive enrolment, revenue, and collection targets through strategic sales leadership.
- Oversee the entire sales lifecycle including lead management, counselling, product demonstrations, closures, and post-sales relationship management.
- Monitor and improve the sales pipeline and funnel quality for the team.
- Ensure effective training for admissions counsellors on learner profiling, program knowledge, and sales closure techniques.
- Retain top sales talent by fostering an engaging and performance-driven culture.
- Set and track team performance metrics using defined input and output KPIs.
- Promote the uniqueness and value proposition of UpGrad’s study abroad programs in the competitive education market.
What We Are Looking For
- Mandatory: Proven track record in aggressive sales and counselling.
- Minimum 3 years of B2C sales experience; education sales experience preferred but not essential.
- Experience managing a team of at least 30 sales professionals (Sales Managers + Inside Sales Executives).
- Strong English communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Highly data-driven with the ability to design, track, and improve sales processes.
- Solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent people management and talent development skills.
- High emotional intelligence with patience and empathy in dealing with customers.
- Strong sales acumen to understand customer needs and close deals effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.
