Job Description
The Business Development Trainee is an entry-level role focused on learning and supporting activities related to generating new business opportunities, building client relationships, and supporting sales and marketing initiatives. The trainee works under the guidance of senior professionals to gain hands-on experience in market research, lead generation, client outreach, and proposal preparation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.
- Generate and qualify leads through online research, calls, and networking.
- Assist in client outreach via email, phone, and social media.
- Schedule meetings, product demos, and presentations for senior team members.
- Prepare sales proposals, presentations, and reports.
- Support marketing campaigns and follow-up on sales opportunities.
- Maintain and update client databases and CRM tools.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams on strategic initiatives.
- Attend training sessions, workshops, and industry events to build skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or running in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Economics, or related field.
- Fresh graduates encouraged; prior internships in sales/marketing are a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good research and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); CRM knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Eagerness to learn and build a career in business development.
