Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Kathmandu, Nepal. This role requires a hands-on professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about optimizing system performance, ensuring network security, and managing critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub, GitLab, and Jenkins
- Manage VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts and vCenter Server
- Handle and troubleshoot multi-vendor network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)
- Install, configure, test, and maintain OS, application software, and system management tools
- Install, configure, and maintain database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL
- Perform daily system and server monitoring, including log reviews and integrity checks
- Manage backup operations and verify job completion
- Proactively monitor and prevent unauthorized access; coordinate audits with senior team members
- Explore, research, and implement emerging technologies and industry best practices
- Communicate with clients regarding incidents, changes, and system statuses
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 2+ years of experience in network and system administration
- Solid understanding of DevOps tools and alerting/monitoring systems
- Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and practices
- Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
- Proficiency in database management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
