QA Automation Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and proactive QA Automation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our WordPress products through comprehensive testing and close collaboration with development and product teams. 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust, modular, and reusable automation scripts using tools such as Robot Framework, Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright. 
• Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases for WordPress plugins and themes. 
• Collaborate with the development and product teams to understand project requirements and specifications. 
• Conduct various levels of testing including functional, regression, integration, performance, load, and stress tests. 
• Perform defect tracking and collaborate with developers to resolve issues effectively using tools like Jira. 
• Validate theme/plugin compatibility across multiple versions of WordPress, PHP, browsers, and devices. 
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless automation integration. 
• Participate in product release cycles, supporting internal releases and monitoring post-deployment performance. 
• Provide testing feedback for technical documentation and knowledge base articles. 
• Proactively suggest improvements in the QA process and overall product quality. 

Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field 
• 1+ years of experience in software testing or a similar role 
• Proficient in at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript, or Java 
• Hands-on experience with at least one testing framework/tool like Selenium, Robot Framework, Cypress, or Playwright 
• Solid understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies 
• Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) 
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English 
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
