Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Engineer to oversee the execution of electrical projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and practical knowledge of installing VCB/RMU, transformers, LT panels, and earthing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution
- Coordinate and manage the on-site execution of electrical projects, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
- Read, interpret, and implement project plans, Single Line Diagrams (SLD), and technical drawings.
- Installation Supervision
- Oversee the installation of Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCBs) or Ring Main Units (RMUs).
- Manage the erection and commissioning of transformers and LT panels.
- Supervise earthing system installations as per standards.
- Compliance & Quality Control
- Ensure all work adheres to relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Conduct quality checks during and after installation to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Coordination & Reporting
- Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth project progress.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and communicate updates to management.
- Problem Solving
- Identify and address on-site challenges, implementing effective solutions to avoid project delays.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 1-2 years in project execution of electrical systems.
- Proficient in understanding Single Line Diagrams (SLD).
- Hands-on experience with VCBs, RMUs, transformers, LT panels, and earthing systems.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar tools (preferred but not mandatory).
