Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Officer to join our team and contribute to the growth of our FMCG products in the Modern Trade market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of handling FMCG products and strong relationships with key modern trade outlets. You will play a crucial role in increasing product visibility, driving sales, and ensuring the successful distribution of our brands.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for modern trade channels (supermarkets, hypermarkets, etc.).
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and buyers in the modern trade sector.
  • Monitor product performance, identify market trends, and drive initiatives to boost sales.
  • Ensure effective product placement and shelf management to maximize visibility and sales.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the management.
  • Conduct regular store visits to ensure product availability, correct pricing, and promotions.
  • Coordinate with the marketing and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and availability of products.
  • Track competitor activities and industry trends to stay ahead in the market.
  • Provide regular sales reports and feedback to management.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, specifically handling FMCG products in the modern trade market.
  • Strong knowledge of modern trade channels, including key retailers and market dynamics.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and increasing product visibility in retail settings.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Must have a 2-wheeler and a valid driving license (as the role involves field visits and customer interactions).
  • Ability to travel extensively within the designated region.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with imported FMCG goods is a plus.
  • Familiarity with retail data and market analysis tools.
