Job Summary
The Sales Manager will oversee and drive the sales operations of the FMCG sector, developing and implementing strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives. This role involves managing and motivating the sales team, fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and focusing on both General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT). The Sales Manager will be pivotal in expanding market presence, driving revenue growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Leadership
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans for General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT) channels to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and address challenges proactively.
2. Team Management
• Lead, mentor, and motivate large sales teams to drive performance and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
3. Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, retailers, and other business partners.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and other agreements to optimize sales outcomes.
4. New Product Development
• Collaborate with the product development team to plan and execute successful new product launches.
• Ensure seamless market entry and acceptance of new products through effective sales and marketing strategies.
5. Analytical and Problem-Solving
• Analyze sales data to identify patterns, evaluate performance, and develop actionable insights.
• Resolve complex sales and operational challenges efficiently.
Job Specifications
• Proven track record in FMCG sales management, with 5 years+ experience in General Trade (GT) and Modern Trade (MT).
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire large teams.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making and problem-solving.
• Experience in launching and managing new product development initiatives.
• Must have bachelor's degree in management, Marketing, or a related field.
