Position Overview
The Director of School Operations is responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of all school-related activities across the group company. Reporting to the School Board members and working closely with school leadership; Chairman, principal, CFO, CMO, COO and others as prescribed by the board. This role serves as the key operational contact for all schools within the group. The Director of School Operations acts as the operational backbone for the group’s schools, ensuring that each institution functions optimally and in harmony with the group’s overall mission and objectives.
Job Description:
The primary responsibilities include:
- Policy Preparation: Plan, develop and prepare, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all school-related activities across the group, ensuring consistency and effective communication to all staff.
- Policy Implementation: Ensure that all schools adhere to organizational policies and procedures, providing guidance and adjustments as necessary.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor and support the daily operations of all schools, ensuring that processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to school staff, including principals, to ensure they are equipped to handle their responsibilities effectively.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular visits to each school to review operations, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Problem Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for operational issues, working to resolve them quickly and effectively.
- HR Activities: Planning, budgeting, hiring and allocation of staff including but not limited to teachers, academic staff.
- Coordination and Communication: Facilitate communication between the schools and the group's central administration, ensuring alignment and consistency in operations.
- Resource Optimization: Assist in the effective allocation and utilization of resources, ensuring that each school has what it needs to operate successfully.
- Event Coordination Support: Provide oversight and support for school events, ensuring they are well-organized and meet the organization’s objectives.
- Feedback Loop: Collect feedback from school staff and principals to continuously improve operations and address any emerging needs.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully an individual must have knowledge of Google Workspace, accounting software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software.
Requirement:
- Master’s degree in Education or Business or any similar field
- Minimum of five (3-5) years related professional experience
- Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- High level of attention to detail
