Position Overview: The IT Officer plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and security of the organization's IT infrastructure. This position is responsible for managing and supporting the company's technology systems, providing technical support to staff, and implementing IT projects that enhance operational efficiency and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, servers, and networks.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure network security by implementing appropriate measures and monitoring for potential security breaches.
- Install and upgrade hardware and software components as needed.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify technological needs and implement solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes, procedures, and system configurations.
- Track and monitor the budget against actual expenditure.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection laws and company standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Officer or similar role in a corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, networks, hardware, and software.
- Proficient in troubleshooting technical issues and providing effective solutions.
