Job Description
Position Summary:
The Sales Manager will oversee the sales team and utilize data analytics to drive sales strategies and performance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, advanced proficiency in Excel, and the ability to analyze complex data to generate actionable insights for improving sales effectiveness.
Key responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Management:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market growth.
- Lead and manage the sales team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Data Analytics and Reporting:
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to create and maintain sales reports, dashboards, and forecasts.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization.
- Collaborate with the MIS team to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Customer and Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and customer needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and distributors.
- Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to inform sales strategies.
Marketing Oversight:
- Oversee and collaborate with the marketing agency to ensure alignment with sales objectives and brand strategy.
- Evaluate marketing campaigns and initiatives, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate marketing and sales efforts to maximize market reach and customer engagement.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's market presence.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs and emerging industry trends.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance sales efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline sales operations and support business objectives.
- Ensure the sales team is equipped with the necessary tools and resources to succeed.
Job Specification
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the flooring or building materials industry.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Experience with CRM software and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
