Job Description

Market Research and Analysis :

  • ​​​​Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, including potential markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services. Analyze competitors’ strengths and weaknesses to strategize according
     

Business Strategy Development :

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans in line with company goals and objectives. Identify and pursue opportunities for expansion, including new markets, products, and partnerships.
     

Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

  • Identify, contact, and build relationships with potential clients through networking, cold calling, and other means. Maintain and expand relationships with existing clients by providing support, information, and guidance. 
     

 Sales and Revenue Generation:

  • Develop and manage sales strategies to achieve company sales targets and revenue goals. Prepare and deliver pitches, presentations, and proposals to potential clients. 
     

Negotiation and Closing Deals:

  •  Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements with clients and partners. Close new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements with business operations. 
     

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with the marketing, sales, and product development teams to ensure a cohesive approach to market and client engagement. Coordinate with internal departments to align strategies and ensure smooth implementation of business development initiatives. 
     

 Reporting and Documentation :

  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, including progress, successes, and challenges. Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities. 
     

Budget Management: 

  • Manage the business development budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve the best return on investment. 
     

 Continuous Improvement:

  •  Stay updated on industry trends, market activities, and competitors to ensure the company remains competitive. Provide feedback to management on market conditions, client needs, and the competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions. 
     

Training and Development:

  • Train and mentor junior staff, ensuring they understand company goals and business development strategies. Continuously improve personal skills and knowledge through professional development activities.
Job Specification
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field
  • At least two years of experience in business development, sales or related field
  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing techniques, employer branding, and business development strategies
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Demonstrated ability to meet targets and deadlines, and to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Fluency in English and Nepali is required
