About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost & Sales Account Officer to join our Head Office finance team in Kathmandu. You will play a critical role in analyzing product costs, monitoring sales profitability, and ensuring accurate financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Cost Accounting & Analysis

  • Calculate product-wise cost of goods sold (COGS)
  • Analyze production variances (material, labor, overhead)
  • Prepare monthly cost reports for management review

✔ Sales Accounting & Reconciliation

  • Verify sales invoices and dealer commissions
  • Reconcile sales data with inventory movements
  • Monitor discounts and promotional costs

✔ Pricing Support

  • Provide cost data for pricing decisions
  • Analyze competitor pricing and market trends
  • Update standard cost records quarterly

✔ Financial Reporting

  • Prepare gross margin reports by product/channel
  • Assist in monthly closing activities
  • Support budget vs. actual analysis

✔ System & Process Improvement

  • Maintain costing modules in ERP (Tally/SAP)
  • Develop automated sales/cost dashboards
  • Implement cost control measures

Requirements:

◼ Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (CA/ACCA part-qualified preferred)

◼ 3+ years in cost accounting (manufacturing/trading)

◼ Technical Skills:

  • Advanced Excel (Power Query/Pivot)
  • ERP costing modules
  • Power BI/Tableau (preferred)

◼ Industry Knowledge:

  • Costing methods (standard, marginal, activity-based)
  • Inventory valuation principles
  • Sales tax implications

◼ Soft Skills:

  • Analytical thinking
  • Cross-department collaboration
  • Deadline management
