Job Description
The Accounts & Finance Analyst will be responsible for managing accounting operations, tax compliance, financial analysis, and business modelling. The role involves preparing accurate financial reports, building projections, conducting valuations, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Taxation
- Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with NFRS/IFRS.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and file VAT, TDS, income tax, and other statutory returns on time.
- Ensure compliance with NRB guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
2. Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Develop and monitor financial KPIs, providing insights to management.
3. Financial Valuation & Modelling
- Perform DCF, comparable company, and precedent transaction analysis for business and project valuations.
- Build financial models to evaluate business scenarios, investments, and new projects.
- Prepare projections for revenue, expenses, and cash flow to support strategic planning.
4. Business Planning & Decision Support
- Support management in preparing feasibility studies and investment proposals.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and sensitivity analysis for business initiatives.
- Provide recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
5. Audit & Process Improvement
- Liaise with internal and external auditors during audits.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure process compliance.
- Recommend and implement system enhancements, automation, and reporting improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
- CA or ACCA, or an equivalent recognized professional accounting certification.
- 3+ years in accounting, finance, or investment analysis, with exposure to taxation, valuation, and modelling.
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, scenario analysis, financial modelling).
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Strong understanding of NFRS/IFRS, local tax laws, and valuation techniques.
