Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Node.js and Express.js.
- Architect and implement RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications, ensuring high performance and security.
- Integrate and optimize data models with relational (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end solutions on time.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and tooling.
Must-Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years or equal of professional experience building backend services with Node.js and Express.js.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with relational (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
- Proficient with Git-based workflows, branching strategies, and code reviews.
- Experience with Linux-based environments and basic shell scripting.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Exposure to message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka) and event-driven architecture.
- Basic understanding of frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js).
