Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Junior Database Designer and Developer with expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Databases. Additional knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB will be considered a strong asset. The successful candidate will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining databases and data models. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a foundational understanding of database structures, who is eager to learn and grow in a data-driven environment. The position will work under the guidance of senior developers to ensure optimal performance, integrity, and security of our databases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize SQL Server Stored Procedures
- Create performance scripts for database functions
- Implement index strategies and apply performance tuning techniques
- Identify and execute solutions for database performance issues
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members
- Deliver results within tight deadlines in a self-motivated manner
- Education Level: Undergraduate (Bachelor’s degree)
- Experience Required: More than 2 years
- Professional Skills Required: MySQL Workbench, Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Profiler, SSMS
- Proven experience with SQL Server Stored Procedures
- Strong expertise in index strategies and database performance tuning
- Ability to create performance-optimized stored procedures
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with database design tools such as Microsoft Database Management Studio and Visual Data Tools (knowledge of dbdiagram.io, MySQL Workbench, and ER/Studio is an advantage)
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts and industry best practices
- Exposure to scripting languages (e.g., Python) or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and fundamental software development practices
