Location: Kathmandu, Nepal (Onsite)

Working Days: Sunday-Friday

Company Overview: Join a team working to launch a new social media platform focused on shaping the future of online interaction. You will collaborate with developers from established tech industries in Nepal and contribute to the development of a product designed for broad-scale use and long-term relevance.

Key Responsibilities

• Build backend services using Express.js with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Collaborate with product managers and frontend teams to deliver features and address technical issues.
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs following best practices for security and performance.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Write code with attention to quality, testing, and automation.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to solving technical challenges.
• Document backend services and related processes.
• Work as part of an agile development team.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of backend development experience using Express.js in Node.js or TypeScript environments.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design, authentication, and authorization.
• Familiarity with both relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Proficiency in asynchronous programming and error handling in Node.js.
• Experience deploying and maintaining services in a production environment.
• Understanding of version control systems (Git preferred).
• Ability to identify and solve technical issues independently or as part of a team.
• Experience working on social media platforms or high-traffic user applications is an advantage.
• Availability for full-time, on-site work in Kathmandu, Nepal.
