We are looking for a reliable and service-oriented Cashier to join our team at The Society Fine Dining Redefined. As a Cashier, you will play a key role in delivering a seamless and positive customer experience. You will manage financial transactions accurately and efficiently while also supporting front-of-house operations to reflect our commitment to elegance, quality, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and handle payments accurately via cash, card, or digital methods.
- Operate the POS system efficiently, including billing, split payments, discounts, and vouchers.
- Issue receipts, refunds, and resolve minor billing issues professionally.
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station at all times.
- Balance cash register and reconcile sales at the end of shifts.
- Coordinate with waitstaff and supervisors to ensure smooth table turnovers and billing processes.
- Assist with reservations, takeaway orders, and phone inquiries as needed.
- Support stock handling and front desk responsibilities during non-peak hours.
- Report discrepancies or technical issues to management promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar customer-facing role preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic accounting procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent numeracy skills.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage menus is a plus.
- A positive attitude and commitment to delivering outstanding guest service.
