Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Accountant at Annapurna Mountain Resort - The Centara Collection, located in Pokhara, Gandaki District. The Chief Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, including financial reporting, budget management, and audits. Day-to-day tasks include preparing financial statements, maintaining records, managing payroll, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role also involves coordinating with department heads to support financial decision-making and managing the accounting team.
Job Description
- Prepare and submit monthly financial reports including:
- Profit & Loss Statement
- Balance Sheet with detailed supporting schedules
- Operational trend analysis
- Accurately post business transactions to both General and Operating Ledgers.
- Compute and analyze key financial metrics, including:
- Management Fee
- Owner’s Share
- Perform monthly reconciliations of:
- Bank Statements
- Inter-company Accounts
- Owner’s Accounts
- Maintain strong relations with owners, auditors, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure guest billing accuracy and address financial queries promptly and professionally.
- Review room rates and support GM with pricing strategies and sales planning.
- Oversee credit control and timely collection of receivables.
Qualifications
- Experience in financial reporting, budget management, and audits
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage and lead a team
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Relevant certification (CPA, CMA) is a plus
- 5 plus years experience in the hospitality industry is preferred
