Job Description
Role Overview:
We are hiring an experienced Data Engineer with a strong SQL background to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate should be a fast learner, a team player, and someone who can take ownership of tasks while working closely with the Team Lead to support critical data initiatives.
This role requires an individual with proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and working within modern cloud environments. The candidate should also have the flexibility to work during US Eastern Time Zone hours, typically 1 PM EST, to support real-time collaboration and project needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain robust data pipelines and workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and integration.
- Write optimized and complex SQL queries for data processing and analytics use cases.
- Collaborate with the Team Lead and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
- Take full ownership of assigned data engineering tasks and deliver them within deadlines.
- Continuously learn and adopt new technologies to improve performance and efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a renowned university.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a Data Engineering or related role.
- Strong foundation in SQL and data manipulation techniques.
- Flexibility to work during US Eastern Time.

- Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer
- dbt (Data Build Tool)
- Fivetran / Stitch / Talend / Informatica

- Python (strongly preferred)

- Apache Kafka, Google Pub/Sub, AWS Kinesis
