Job Description
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain WordPress and WooCommerce websites with custom functionality.
- Create custom themes and plugins from scratch based on project requirements.
- Ensure cross-browser, cross-platform, and mobile compatibility.
- Optimize website performance, security, and SEO.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plugins, themes, and site performance.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, developers, and project managers to implement user-centric solutions.
- Integrate third-party APIs and manage database interactions efficiently.
- Maintain clean, well-documented, and reusable code using version control (Git).
- Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in WordPress development.
- 3 to 5 years of experience.
- Proven experience in building custom WordPress themes and plugins.
- Strong knowledge of WooCommerce development and customization.
- Proficient in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) in PHP.
- Strong understanding of custom post types, taxonomies, and WordPress hooks.
- Familiarity with AJAX, XML, and JSON.
- Experience using version control systems (Git).
- Understanding of website performance optimization and security best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with React or modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Familiarity with modern build tools and front-end pipelines.
- Experience integrating and working with RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of SEO best practices in WordPress environments.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Knowledge of project management tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana.
