Role Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software and Website QA Intern to join our dynamic team. As a QA Intern, you will work closely with our development and testing teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our software applications and websites. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of software quality assurance and contribute to the success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Testing:
- Execute test cases and test scripts to identify software defects and ensure application functionality meets specified requirements.
- Conduct manual testing of software applications and websites to ensure a high level of quality and user satisfaction.
- Perform regression testing to verify that previously identified and resolved defects do not reoccur.
Bug Tracking and Reporting:
- Document and report defects using bug tracking tools, providing clear and concise information to assist the development team in issue resolution.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce reported issues and verify fixes.
Test Planning:
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of test plans and test cases based on project specifications.
- Contribute to the development of testing strategies to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular status updates on testing progress and issue resolution.
Automation (Optional):
- If applicable, participate in and learn about automated testing processes, tools, and frameworks.
Job Specification
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of software development and testing concepts.
- Familiarity with bug tracking tools and test management systems is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Duration and Compensation:
- This is a 3-month internship position with the potential for extension. Compensation and benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
